At 9:00am on March 28th, the construction of “Grand Competition”, a key project of Lijiang in the first quarter of 2019, sponsored by Lijiang Municipal Committee of CPC and Lijiang Municipal People’s government and undertaken by Mayland Group, and the construction ceremony of the project of Mayland Watertown were held at the project site of Mayland Watertown. Cui Maohu, Secretary of Lijiang Municipal Party Committee, and Liu Yuanbing, chairman of Mayland Group attended the opening ceremony. The city started 44 new key projects in the first quarter, with a total investment of 14.75 billion yuan, and planned to complete 6.02 billion yuan in 2019. The key projects in Gucheng Area, Yulong County, Yongsheng County, Huaping County and Ninglang County are all scheduled to start today.

This event is of great significance to accelerate the construction of key projects in Lijiang, stimulate the investment vitality of the county and maintain the steady and rapid economic development of Lijiang. Subsequently, Secretary Cui Maohu delivered a speech at the commencement ceremony. Cui stressed that the project was an important carrier and effective driver for further development. In order to realize a fast change and leapfrog development, Lijiang must focus on the project and increase investment to ensure growth and better livelihood. He affirmed that Mayland Watertown and Mayland Group would make important contribution to the tourism industry and economic development of Lijiang, and pointed out that Lijiang should cooperate with high-end enterprises with regard to cultural tourism, plan from a high starting point, provide enough water resources, improve the level of forestation and beautification, and integrate into concept of health & wellness, create more “explosive point” projects, which is of great significance to the sustainable development of the town.

As Secretary Cui said, the future urban planning and construction of Lijiang will form a pattern of “Ancient Lijiang Town- Ancient Shuhe Town- Wenbi Sea”. Mayland Watertown is located in the core area of Wenbi Sea. The overall planning area of the project is about 1,800 mu and the total building area is about 1.5 million square meters.
